Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get an appointment?

We know that appointments get booked up quickly, leaving you waiting weeks to see someone. That's why we only offer drop-in advice clinics so you can just turn up and see one of our advisers:

Monday - Welfare benefits
Tuesday - Debt
Alternate Wednesdays - Employment Law
Thursday - Housing

Please note: Drop-in clinics are for new clients only. Existing clients should contact their adviser directly.

What should I bring to the clinic?

We'll be more able to help if you can bring any paperwork that relates to your problem. We always take copies so that you can take the originals home with you.

What can you help with?

We specialise in the areas of welfare benefits, debt, housing and employment law. Unfortunately we're unable to help with other areas of law such as probate, conveyancy, consumer or family law. If you're unsure whether we can help, just contact us.

When are you open?

Our office is open Monday to Friday, except Bank Holidays. We accept telephone enquiries from 09:30 until 15:00 and our reception is open 10:00 until 13:00.

How much do you charge?

We never charge for our help or advice. Ever.

How do I qualify for help?

The only eligibility criteria is that you live or work in the Cardiff area.

Do you give telephone or email advice?

Although our advisers are happy to communicate with clients via whichever method works best for them, we always need to see new clients face to face at first.

I'm an existing client, how can i contact my adviser?

Your adviser should provide you with their contact details. If you cannot find these, please call us on 02920 453 111.

Do you offer home visits?

Due to the high demand for our services we are unable to offer home visits. If you need help and are unable to get to one of our drop-in clinics, please contact us.

I'm a support worker/carer, how can I refer someone for help?

For energy advice, please complete our online referral form. For all other issues please contact us.
